BioWare's Orbit Now Open Source

Today BioWare announced the release of a Java framework called orbit that will make online services more secure, scalable online services, and distribution control. The great thing about Orbit is that it’s now open source, available to any coder who wants to develop it.

Dragon Age: Inquisition Supported by Orbit

Prior to release, Orbit was used for Dragon Age Keep and Dragon Age: Inquisition. BioWare plans to use Orbit in future next-generation projects but the decision to make it open source is driven by a an inspiration and a desire to collaborate with the wider open source community. For those Java users out there, BioWare is looking for feedback on their project, so be sure to check it out and tell them what you think of it!
