GDC 2018 Mid-week Recap!
The IGF and Game Developers Choice Awards wrapped up tonight announcing The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild as game of the year. Night in the Woods won in Excellence in Narrative. The amazing Tim Schafer was presented with the lifetime Achievement Award. The wonderful night was the icing on the cake for a week full of tech reveals, talks and game dev news! Here are some of the highlights:
Unreal Engine 4
Epic games has released several amazing tech demos of motion capture inside UE4
Allegorithmic has released a teaser for a new program called Substance Alchemist. Substance Painter will be getting a new update with some cool new UI.
CryEngine will be switching to a royalty based user model.
